Trust & Safety

Your money is protected from “yes”.

Booking talent shouldn't mean trusting a stranger with a transfer. Linkr holds every payment in escrow, verifies every act, and stands behind every booking.

Six layers of protection

Every booking on Linkr is wrapped in safeguards most direct deals never get.

Escrow-held payments

Your money is held safely by Linkr the moment you pay - not sent to the act. It's only released after your event is completed, so nobody can take the money and disappear.

Vetted by Linkr + NDPR consent

Talent verify their identity with a government-issued ID, reviewed by the Linkr team, before they can take bookings. We collect only what's needed, with explicit consent, fully in line with Nigeria's NDPR data-protection rules.

Two-way reviews

After every gig, hosts and talent review each other. Ratings are tied to real, completed bookings - so the reputation you see is one you can trust.

No-show & cancellation cover

If an act no-shows or cancels late, you're protected. Held funds are refunded under our cover policy, and repeat offenders are removed from the platform.

Dispute resolution

If something goes wrong, raise a dispute and our ops team steps in. Funds stay frozen in escrow while we review both sides and reach a fair outcome.

Transparent fees & bank payouts

One flat 10% platform fee - no hidden charges. Talent are paid straight to their Nigerian bank account once the booking is complete.

How escrow works

Money moves in one safe, traceable direction - and only when it should.

  1. 01

    Deposit

You pay the agreed amount. Card or transfer, secured by our payments partner.

  2. 02

    Held in escrow

Linkr holds the funds - the act can see it's secured but can't touch it yet.

  3. 03

    Event happens

The act performs. You confirm the show went ahead as agreed.

  4. 04

    Release

On completion, funds are released from escrow - automatically or on your confirmation.

  5. 05

    Payout + fee

The act is paid to their bank; Linkr keeps a clear 10% commission.

Transparent fees

One flat 10% - and you can see exactly where it goes.

No host surcharges, no surprise line items. The act agrees a price; Linkr takes a flat 10% commission from their payout to cover escrow, verification, support and dispute cover. Here's a real example.

Frequently asked

When exactly is my money released to the act?

After the event is marked complete. For most bookings you confirm completion; if there's no dispute within the review window, funds release automatically.

What happens if the act cancels or doesn't show up?

Your escrow-held funds are refunded under our no-show & cancellation cover. Acts who repeatedly cancel are suspended or removed.

How does Vetted by Linkr protect me?

Every vetted act has a government-issued ID reviewed by the Linkr team, tying the profile to a real identity. You're never booking an anonymous account - and bad actors can't simply re-register.

Is the 10% fee the only charge?

Yes - one flat 10% platform commission, deducted from the talent's payout. There are no hidden host surcharges; the price you agree is the price you pay.

How do I raise a dispute?

Open the booking and choose 'Raise a dispute'. Funds stay frozen in escrow while our ops team reviews the timeline, messages and both sides before resolving.

Is my personal data safe?

We handle data in line with Nigeria's NDPR. We collect only what a booking needs, store it securely, and you can request deletion at any time.
